About the Photographer

Steve Walter

I had always liked photographing people and places.  I started with simple box cameras and then moved on to 8mm movies.  In 1980 I bought my first 35mm camera, a Canon AV-1.  After that, my interest in photography really "took off".  A lifelong interest in 19th & 20th Century history coupled with a love for aviation related subjects  led me to start attending and photographing local airshows.  I now use six different Canon 35mm cmeras, a Bronica ETRS 6x4.5 medium format camera, and a Graflex 6x6 medium format camera for my activities.

Over the last 5-10 years I have accumulated an extensive photographic array of 1920's and newer aircraft.  The photos are in black & white or color.  As I am a confessed "low tech person", I do not photograph using digital cameras.  All photos are on analog media (film).  I feel that film reveals richer color and better detail resolution.  My collection of images increases every year and I am sure that there is a photo to fit your needs.

Photographs are available in various sizes - 5x7, 8x10, 8x12,11x14, 12x18 and, in some cases, 16x20.  Also, they are available mounted in white mats or unmounted.  If you specify your needs, I will make every effort to satisfy the requirements. Prices range from $10.00 for an unmounted 5x7 black & white, to $50.00 for a mounted 12x18 color.  When I receive your order, I will send the price including shipping.  No order will be processed without the approval of the customer.  Unless specified otherwise, all mounting is done with white matting.

Please use the contact form to describe your requirements.  I will then e-mail proofs for you to examine.  When you have made your choice as to photograph, size, and mounting, the order process can start.  The photo galleries are to be seen only as examples.  They do not cover all the possibilities.
